For communication that needs limits and a record.

Modus is for parents whose communication has to be structured, accountable, and easy to review, whether that’s court-ordered, agreed, or just necessary.

Parenting orders

Parenting orders with defined communication boundaries.

When an order sets how and when you can communicate, Modus keeps messages inside those boundaries, records them as they're sent, and exports a clear history by date range. You enter the rules from your order. Modus doesn't interpret it.

Rules, topic tags, frequency limits, possible-breach flags, court-ready exports.

Intervention orders & safety notices

When contact is allowed only in limited ways.

Some orders or notices permit communication only about the children, or only about defined matters. Modus records those limits and flags messages that may fall outside them.

Modus doesn't interpret intervention orders or safety notices. Seek legal advice about what your order allows.

Restricted messaging, time and frequency rules, topic limits, warning before send, exportable record.

Family violence contexts

When communication may be unsafe, excessive, or coercive.

Modus preserves a record that can't be quietly altered. No editing, no deletion, every message timestamped. Modus also gives you a reporting pathway if something needs to be raised.

Modus isn't an emergency service. If you're in immediate danger, contact emergency services.

No editing or deletion, timestamped records, safety reporting, possible-breach summaries, secure exports.

Family Court

A chronological record for legal review.

For Family Court and Federal Circuit and Family Court matters, Modus produces date-range records for lawyers, affidavits, and chronologies: chronological messages, warning and breach summaries, an attachment index, and a verification hash on every export.

Searchable PDF exports, summary header, breach tables, attachment index, export ID and hash.

Agreed boundaries

When the boundary is agreed, not ordered.

Some parents have a written agreement or a professional's recommendation that limits communication. Modus records those boundaries the same way it records court-ordered ones.

Communication rules, warnings, exportable records.

If communication needs boundaries, records should be clear.
