Report a Safety Concern

Last updated 10 July 2026

If you are in immediate danger, contact emergency services (Triple Zero — 000 in Australia). Modus is not monitored as an emergency response service.

What you can report

Offensive or abusive content, threatening language, harassment or repeated unwanted contact, misuse of the app, suspected breaches of our Terms of Use, and technical or privacy issues.

How to report

If you believe a message or attachment raises a safety concern, breaches the Terms of Use or involves unlawful or harmful content, you can report it through Modus. Reports may be reviewed for safety, compliance and support purposes. Reporting a message does not delete or alter the underlying record. Until in-app reporting launches, email safety@modusparenting.com with a description of the concern, including the names on the space and, where possible, the date and content of the message involved (a screenshot is fine). You can also use the Contact page.

What happens to a report

Reports are reviewed by our support team for safety, compliance and product-improvement purposes. Reporting a message never deletes or alters the underlying record — the message stays exactly as sent, so it remains available as part of the evidentiary record for both parties. Depending on what we find, we may warn or restrict the account responsible, escalate to law enforcement where we are legally required to, or take no further action if the report does not indicate a breach. We will let you know the outcome where we can.

Submitting a knowingly false report is itself a breach of our Terms of Use.

Context-aware alternatives to blocking

Because some users may be court-required to communicate, Modus provides alternatives alongside reporting: mute notifications, restricted mode, safety pause and support escalation — all with the audit trail preserved.
